Procurement Specialist
Alexander supports procurement, compliance and value-for-money expenditure for UCF’s EU-funded transboundary nature conservation programme. A chartered procurement professional, he brings more than 12 years of experience working across Uganda, Malawi, South Sudan, Kenya and Sierra Leone.
Before joining UCF, Alexander led a specialist procurement firm in Uganda for more than eight years, providing outsourced procurement and operational support to development organisations. His earlier career included working as a Nutritionist with the UN World Food Programme, supporting humanitarian response programmes in Northern Uganda.
In 2014, Alexander was part of a team of supply-chain specialists supporting the British Government’s response to the Ebola crisis in Sierra Leone - experience that strengthened his expertise in procurement and logistics in complex and demanding operating environments.
Outside work, Alexander enjoys sport and culture and has a strong interest in nature and conservation.
